Fiji’s Dash For Diabetes

A week after the World Mental Day Athletics Fiji was at it again with their Kids’ Athletics Program at the annual Dash for Diabetes, which was organised by the Petero Civoniceva Foundation and was held on a beautifully clear Saturday morning. The 5km dash for diabetes is one of the many ways that the foundation uses to help boost their cause in Fiji. Working closely with AF development officer Albert Miller Snr and through the use of their new Kids’ Athletics kit, it attracted both the young and the old ones to join in.

Queens Baton Relay

The Queens Baton relay is a relay around the world held prior to the beginning of the Commonwealth Games. The Baton carries a message from the Head of the Commonwealth, currently Queen Elizabeth II.

This week the The Queen’s Baton Relay, has released the list of people from around Australia who will be joining in the relay. Across Australia, thousands of people are celebrating because they found out that they will be part of the Queen’s Baton Relay. – From young to old to some of the nation’s legends.

Athletics Auckland One Hour Decathlon

This week Athletics Auckland held a one hour decathlon Mt Smart Stadium – 14 October 2017 and here are the results:

1 Hour Decathlon: Matthew Aucamp U18 5079 points

45 minute heptathlon:
Zoe Taylor U17 4081 points
Hayley Marx U17 4066 points
Alexandra Hyland U19 4037 points
