TOECS in Fiji

Last week Athletics Fiji held a Technical Officials refresher course for the northern primary school teachers in Labasa over 3 days with the addition of a Kids’ Athletics Facilitator course in the first two days. The Kids’ Athletics Workshop was made possible by Athletics Fiji in partnership with the Oceania Athletics Association and the Pacific Sports Partnership funded by the Australian Government and was facilitated by IAAF certified lecturer and Athletics Fiji Development Officer, Albert Miller Snr. Victory for Sally Pearson

Sally Pearson has done a great job in the IAAF Diamond League Final in Zurich leading the green and gold results with her victory in the women’s 100m hurdles. With a finishing time of 12.55 (wind: -0.3).  0.08 second outside her season best, Pearson’s victory was confirmed by the photo finish judges after she and the second placed Sharika Nelvis (USA) crossed together in a tight finish. Christina Manning (USA) was third with 12.67. Congratulations

Tuvalu looking to upgrade
