The Oceania Combined Events and Pole Vault Championships | Brisbane 27 hosted by Queensland Athletics will bring together Athletes from across Oceania for an opportunity to become the Oceania Champion.
For the Senior Athletes, the “GL” category competition also carries significant opportunity to enhance World Athletics Ranking Points.
The Oceania Combined Events and Pole Vault Championships for the Senior and U18 will be open to all eligible athletes from all Oceania Member Federations.
The U20 Oceania Combined Events and Pole Vault Championships will be open to athletes from the Pacific Islands Member Federations only. Under 20 Athletes from Australia and New Zealand who wish to compete in the Combined Events can do so in the Queensland Athletics Combined Events Championships held concurrently.

To ensure fair and equitable opportunities across all event groups, this rule carries over from the Oceania Championships in Darwin in 2026, where the Under 20 age group was not available to Australian and New Zealand athletes. However, Australian or New Zealand athletes wishing to contest a combined event may still enter and contest the Queensland Championships. They will not, however, be eligible for Oceania Championships placings.
Unfortunately, Australian and New Zealand combined event athletes will be unable to contest the Pole Vault, unless they wish to contest the Senior event.
There is no limit to how many athletes per Member Federation can compete and are eligible to be Oceania Champion. The only restriction in place is for the U20 Age group events where athletess are representing the Pacific Island Member Federations
There are no mandatory uniforms for this event. Uniforms worn must be compliant with the World Athletics Technical Regulation 5.1
All eligible athletes will compete together in the same events, including athletes contesting the Queensland Championships. All athletes eligible to represent a Member Federation in the Oceania region will automatically be included in the Oceania Championships. This includes Queensland athletes who enter directly through the Queensland entry portal.
If you are registered with Queensland Athletics, you should enter through the Queensland entry portal. This allows you to access the member rates offered by Queensland Athletics, as well as ensuring you are registered for the Queensland Championships.
Entering through the Queensland portal will still make you eligible for the Oceania Championships, provided you otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for the Championships.
If you are an Australian athlete not from Queensland, or a member of any other Oceania country, you should enter through the Oceania entry portal.
For the Combined Events Championships, there is no limit to how many athletes per Member Federation can compete and be eligible to be Oceania Champion. The only restriction in place is for the U20 age group, where only athletes representing Pacific Island Member Federations may partipate.
For the Pole Vault, there is no limit to how many athletes per Member Federation can compete and be eligible to be Oceania Champion. However, standards have been placed on the Senior and Under 18 age groups to ensure that fields are manageable and a positive experience can be provided to athletes. The standards will not apply to athletes who are submitted by their Member Federation as part of their countries quota.
