Press Release: 16th November 2021
The Oceania Athletics Coaches Association (OACA) met late last week to discuss supporting and providing personal and professional opportunities for Coaches in the region. From that meeting, OACA is planning several activities between now and the 2022 Oceania Athletics Championships. The Association is very keen to get coaches from all of Oceania involved in our activities. It looks forward to input from all 23 Member and Association Member Federations. First off will be a ‘Ranking Seminar’ held virtually to bring coaches up to date with the latest World Athletics Ranking opportunities.
With numerous Regional and World events planned for 2022, OACA Chairperson Jerry Brunt (SAM) said, “it is important that our coaches guide their athletes to the best-ranking opportunity competitions and ensure that our Athletes have more opportunities in the Oceania Region than ever before”.
Following the seminar, there will be news about other programs that OACA will be rolling out. Including a revamp of the previous OACA ‘Meet and Greet’ at our following Area Championship and Pacific Games events.
OACA will release details of the seminar later this week. For any other information, please don’t hesitate to contact the OACA Secretary, Alison Fairweather hptc@oceaniaathletics.com
