Athletics Cook Islands is pleased to announce the 2019 Executive following the Annual General Assembly on Wednesday. Newly elected President, Erin Tierney says the new Executive are excited to deliver a vibrant and inclusive program this year with the valued input from the wider athletics family of volunteers and sponsors.
The Association awarded Life Membership to Grover Harmon and Anau Manarangi. These Life Membership Awards recognise the contributions they have made to the sport of Athletics for over 50 years. The Cook Islands have benefited from their skills as athletes, executive, coaches, team managers and technical officials. President Erin Tierney says the she is delighted to acknowledge these passionate individuals and welcomes them to the association.
Yvonne Mullins, Chief Executive Officer of Oceania Athletics Association presented at the AGA and a workshop the next day with members. The opportunities for technical officials, coaching and athlete support were shared and discussed.
