Oceania Coaches Connect Session to Bring Expert Knowledge Sharing to Darwin

Coaches attending the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin will have the chance to learn from some of Oceania’s most experienced coaches through the Oceania Coaches Connect sessions across championship week.

The Oceania Coaches Connect Sessions are proudly presented by Oceania Athletics, Australian Athletics and Athletics New Zealand

Held daily (from Day 2) from 12:45pm to 2:00pm at Arafura Stadium, the free sessions are designed to bring coaches together from across the Oceania region to share knowledge, exchange ideas and build stronger coaching networks throughout the area.

The program features a range of practical and discussion-based sessions across key event groups.

Tuesday’s session will focus on the javelin, led by Olympic medallist and Australian record holder Kim Mickle alongside Kirsten Hellier and Lukas Cannan.

Wednesday will feature a coach discussion workshop, providing an open forum for coaches to collaborate, and discuss ideas from across the area

On Thursday, attention turns to seated throws with Raylele Bates, John Eden and Olivia Clare delivering insights into para athletics coaching and performance.

The final session on Friday will cover high jump, with Brent Booker and Marty Stolberg leading the discussion.
