Solomon Islands Round Town Relay

The Solomon Islands had two days of competition in late July. Starting with the Round Town Relay on the 28th of July there were four teams participating: Agriculture College Athletics Club, NCYC Athletics Club, Southern Boys Club, Canal Athletics Club. Each team had 4 runners, who were overall running a distance of 2 km.

Ranking:

  1. Southern Boys
  2. NCYC Athletics Club
  3. Agriculture College Athletics club
  4. Canal Boys Athletics Club

The competitions continued on 29th July 2016 with a Mini Marathon over a distance of 7km. Eight athletes competed against each with Joshua Seth from Canal Athletics Club winning the race. Second came Sam Kapalu from Southern Boys Athletics Club, third finisher was Eric Jimmy from Agriculture College Athletics Club.

Athletics Solomon Islands wants to thank its sponsor Wilco Hardware for a generous donation of uniforms such as t-shirts, caps and also drinking water as well as LMC for their donation.
