50 Days To Go

beddoescook islands.jpg

With a team of only seven the Cook Islands are getting ready to show their best at the Oceania championships this summer in Fiji. With only 48 days to go the team is training hard. Ms. Patricia Taea former Olympian is currently in Queensland training everyday working on getting a new personal best. She received the Cook Islands National sports award earlier in 2017. Patricia is training hard to continue to represent her islands in the games to come.

In Fiji she will meet up with her teammates and they will represent the cook islands. Patricia is not the only Olympian from the Cook Islands who will be making an appearance at the games in Fiji. Alex Beddoes an 800 meter runner from the islands represented at the 2016 Rio Di Janero games last summer. Along with these two Olympians there will be 3 more runners and 2 throwers. They may have a small team but they are ready to show us what the Cook Islands can do !

Here is a list of all the members of the Cook Island teams and the age category they will be participating in.
