Area News: Weekly Wrap Up

One Day Meets return, with Christchurch hosting the first of the World Athletics Continental Tour Meets for 2021. The International Track Meet in Christchurch returned for the first time in 11 years. The last edition was due to be one of the best meetings ever seen on New Zealand soil, but the devastating earthquake that shattered much of Christchurch in 2011, put a halt to that and an 11^th hour cancellation of the meeting. Across the Tasman, Australia had several events with outstanding performances, olympic qualifiers and promising results leading into upcoming Bronze and Silver Tour Meets.
