EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – OAA COMPETITION COMMISSION
The Oceania Athletics Association is calling for Expressions of Interest to be considered for the newly constituted Oceania Athletics Association, Competition Commission.
The Competition Commission will replace the previous editions of the OAA Technical Commission and Cross-Country Committee.
The role of the Commission is to advise and to make recommendations to Council on the format, qualifications, programme and organisation of all International Competitions that are part of the Oceania competition calendar, including new competitions and to uphold the highest technical and operational standards of those competitions.
A minimum of five (5) and no more than seven (7) members will be appointed to the Commission. In accordance with the Constitution, the Chairperson of the Commission shall be a Council Member, nominated and appointed by Council. The Chairperson shall be ultimately responsible for the work and outcomes of the Commission. In addition to the appointed members, the OAA President shall be “ex officio” a member of the Commission.
The members of the Commission will be appointed by the Council for a term expiring at the conclusion of the next Election Congress to be held in 2023.
