Oceania Championships Events – Expression of Interest

The Oceania Athletics Association is now calling for expressions of interest and applications to conduct the following Championship events:

Any Expression of interest must be accompanied with an endorsement by the Member Federation.

  • 2020 Melanesian Regional Championships (AUS, FIJ, NFI, NCL, PNG, SOL, TUV, VAN)
  • 2020 Micronesian Regional Championships (FSM, GUM, KIR, MHL, NMI, NRU, PLW)
  • 2020 Polynesian Regional Championships (ASA, COK, NIU, NZL, PYF, SAM, TGA)
  • 2020 Oceania 10km Road Race Championships
  • 2020 Oceania Cross Country Championships
  • 2020 Oceania Combined Events Championships
  • 2020 Oceania 20km Race Walking Championships
  • 2020 Oceania 50km Race Walking Championships
  • 2021 Oceania Area Championships
  • 2021Oceania Half Marathon Championships
  • 2021 Oceania Marathon Championships
  • 2021 Oceania 10km Road Race Championships
  • 2021 Combined Events Championships
  • 2021 Oceania 20km Race Walking Championships

2020 Oceania Regional Championships

The allocation of the 2020 Regional Championships will be finalised at the 2019 OAA Congress (March 2019) where all Member Federations within Regions will have an opportunity to make the decision with fellow Regional Member Federations. 

Expression of Interest for 2020 Regional Championships need to be submitted to the OAA office by no later than 1st March 2019

2020 & 2021 Out of Stadia Events & Combined Events

The allocation of the 2020 & 2021 Out of Stadia Events and Combined Events will be finalised at the June Oceania Council Meeting. 

Please advise the OAA Office if you wish to submit an Expression of Interest for these events by Friday 24 May 2019.

2021 Oceania Area Championships

The decision on the host of the 2021 Oceania Area Championships will be finalised at the June OAA.  Applications to host should be submitted by Friday 24th May 2019
