Competition is fundamental to the sport of athletics and providing the necessary assistance to athletes to enable them to take part in the wide range of competitions available to them is a major responsibility of national athletics federations. Appointment as a team manager to provide the assistance and support necessary for athletes competing at national, area and international competitions is both a great honour and a significant responsibility.  

This seminar aims to provide existing and potential team managers the opportunity to discuss the major issues involved in the role and to learn from experts in the areas in which a successful team manager will require a certain level of knowledge and expertise.  

Most seminars are presented prior to the Oceania Area Championships; therefore, we have the opportunity for ongoing mentoring and supervision during the Championships.
