The Oceania Athletics Association, Athletes’ Commission election will be held at the Oceania Athletics Championships to be held in Suva, Fiji Islands, 1-8 June.
Athletes interested in nominating for the OAA Athletes’ Commission, this is your chance to be a voice for athletes in the Oceania Athletics Area.
The role of the Athletes’ Commission is to provide advice and recommendations to the OAA Council that contribute the perspectives of athletes in Oceania to the Association in fulfilling out its objects.
Candidates must be nominated by their Member Federation and are encouraged to contact their Member Federation to discuss their interest and assess their eligibility.
Four (4) candidates will be elected by accredited athletes present at the Oceania Area Championships and three (3) additional athletes will be appointed by OAA Council.
The 2024 OAA Athletes’ Commission Elections will take place alongside the Oceania Athletics Championships, in Suva, with the election open between 1-6 June 2024. The nomination process opens 1 March 2024 and closes 4pm AEST 1 April 2024.
