The Foneni Achocho Sensu Athletics Club’s (FAS Athletics Club) Friendship Invitational Games saw the 7^th edition bring in the new year.

The unique two week teams event brings together local teams FAICHUUK, WENO, TONOAS, FEFEN, PNI, NOMWISOFO, NORTHERN NOMONEAS and invitational teams from SAIPAN (NMI), CHUUK AND POHNPEI (FSM).

January 11 was the teams, Road Mile. High energy with plenty of crowd support to get the teams across the line. Team Tonoas winning the Men’s Race and Team Northern Nomoneas taking out the Women’s event.

January 18^th the event moved to the John F. Kennedy Ramsay Field for the Track and field events. Events on offer include, 60m, 100m, 200m, Medley Relay, 4x100m Relay, and Mixed Relay. Supporters and teammates lined the track with valuable points on the line for Masters, Seniors, and Junior athletes. The track and field day also included a Kid’s Athletics session with all lanes filled with the next generation of athletes in Guam and FSM.

Athletics events continue in Micronesia with the next Guam Track and Field Spring Series 2 – January 26
