Scholarship Holder Braelynn Volunteers at Children’s Hospital Charity

Braelynn Yee Volunteers her time between her busy training and study schedule at with A Children’s Charity at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Braelynn a resident at the Oceania house as she completes her studies as a Business Scholarship Recipient from Griffith University, Oceania Australia Foundation, and Oceania Athletics Association, speaks of her first experience with Radio Lollipop.

Radio Lollipop gives young patients a voice and a choice during their stay. While they can´t say “no” to taking their medicine or receiving treatment, they can request their favourite songs, win prizes and hear their own voices on the radio. Those activities give youngsters a haven of normality in the hospital day which in other respects is strange, different and often scary.

Braelynn said: “It was quite emotional at first as I have such a great heart for children……… once you get involved in games and craft and the magic, it gets you in that happy place…….. enjoyed playing the games and looking forward to more fun times and making more memories over the Christmas period.

If you want to get involved in this international charity organisation, I highly recommend it ( Radio Lollipop | for Children in Hospital)”
