OAA COMPETITION CIRCULAR – 07.2025 – Oceania Athletics

The Oceania Athletics Association is now calling for Technical Officials’ Expressions of Interest to be considered for the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships to be held in Darwin, AUS, from the 18th to 23rd of May 2026.
Technical Officials will need to submit their Expression of Interest, as well background information for OAA to complete the appointments. Expressions of Interest are due with the OAA office by 1 December 2025.
Technical Officials should nominate through the on-line OAA Technical Officials’ Nomination System, which can be found at the following link.

Technical Officials will be notified of their appointment by the end of 2025.
For Technical Officials to be considered, they must have met the following criteria
- Actively officiating in the country or place of residence
- Approved by the Member Federation
- Completed the World Athletics Safeguarding Essentials Course
Travel and Accommodation Please be advised that Technical Officials will be required to meet their own travel and accommodation expenses. OAA will be doing a group booking at a hotel in Darwin. Breakfast and transport to and from the track will be provided with the booking. Booking information will be provided with the appointments and will be first-come, as there are limited rooms available.
Pacific Island Member Federations that intend to include Technical Officials in their delegation to
Darwin are welcome to do so. Accommodation will be provided at the Athletes’ Village at the same cost as additional athletes outside of the MF quota.
Technical Officials should NOT book non-refundable travel until such time as they have confirmation of appointment.
