Anthony Curry Returns to Oceania Athletics in New Role

Oceania Athletics Association (OAA) is pleased to announce that Anthony Curry has rejoined the organisation as Development Co-ordinator following the completion of a recent selection process.

Anthony is no stranger to Oceania Athletics, having previously worked with OAA before returning to New Zealand. Since then, he has built an impressive track record in roles with Athletics Auckland, Australian Athletics, and Queensland Athletics. His broad experience brings valuable expertise to the Association, particularly in Technical Officiating (Refereeing) and coaching development as one of the youngest Gold Referees in the world.

Anthony’s prior time with OAA means he returns with a strong foundation in operational processes and established relationships across the region, allowing him to make an immediate impact.

Speaking on his return: “It’s a privilege to be able to contribute to the growth of athletics in Oceania, in which we can build capacity and strengthen the foundations of the sport through Development programs and activities”

Alongside Anthony’s appointment, OAA is also pleased to confirm that as part of the recent office restructure, Regan Kama has been appointed as the new Member Federation Liaison Manager. This role will strengthen communication and support across OAA’s Member Federations, an initiative driven by feedback from within the athletics community.

OAA warmly welcomes Anthony back to the team and congratulates Regan on her new role as we continue to build capacity and support the growth of athletics throughout the Oceania region.
