Schedule and Live Results
The Continental Tour heads west as the Perth Track Classic opens the Australian leg of the series, bringing together local stars and international talent chasing ranking points, qualification standards and early momentum towards the 2026 Commonwealth Games, World Indoor Championships and World Under 20 Championships. As the first Bronze label meeting of the Tour in Australia, Perth sets the stage for a night of fast racing and big performances.
Headlining the event is the return of Olympic and World Champion pole vaulter Nina Kennedy, competing for the first time in 518 days. Back on her home runway at WA Athletics Stadium, Kennedy leads a strong generation of Australian pole vaulters ready to rise alongside her. Fellow Perth local Kurtis Marschall, World Championships bronze medallist, will also look to make the most of familiar surroundings against an international field.
Perth’s reputation for quick times should be on show again in the sprint events. Oceania’s fastest woman Zoe Hobbs lines up in a stacked women’s 100m, with a deep Australian contingent set to push the pace. The men’s 100m promises to be equally sharp, featuring Australian champion Rohan Browning, Oceania champion Joshua Azzopardi and Papua New Guinea’s Pais Wisil, who continues to build his reputation as one of the fastest Pacific athletes over the short sprints.
The Para 100m races bring together a strong group of World Para Championships representatives. Perth local Rhiannon Clarke will draw energy from the home crowd in the women’s race, while Australia’s fastest Paralympian Chad Perris shapes as the athlete to beat in the men’s event.
Michelle Jenneke steps into the women’s 100m hurdles fresh from her national short track title and World Indoor qualifying performance over 60m hurdles, returning to the outdoor distance with momentum behind her. The 400m hurdles will feature a high quality clash between local star Alanah Yukich and Sarah Carli, the Olympians setting up a close contest over the ten barriers.
Middle distance racing sees Western Australia’s Peter Bol return to the track where he broke the Oceania 800m record in 2025. With a strong group of emerging Australian runners in pursuit, Bol will look to use the home crowd to his advantage. Abbey Caldwell leads the Australians in the women’s distance field, with renowned front runner Nozomi Tanaka within a second Abbey’s PB, this sets up an exciting race!
In the field events, the women’s triple jump features World Championships representative Desleigh Owusu alongside World Under 20 athlete Izzy Louison-Roe. The men’s javelin will be led by Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, joined by experienced Australian Hamish Peacock and New Caledonia’s Felise Vaha’i Sosaia, while Taryn Gollshewsky heads the women’s discus line up. Crowd favourite, and Australian representative Yual Reath returns to the high jump, where the atmosphere is sure to build as the bar rises.
