Hundreds of Children across Oceania participate in the “Relay Around World”

Hundreds of children across Oceania participated in the 2025 World Athletics Kids’ Athletics Day, embracing this year’s theme: “Relay Around the World.” The initiative, launched by World Athletics, aimed to inspire physical activity among youth across the World.

In Oceania, member federations organised relay events across each region of Oceania. Many of these events also included ongoing development programs increasing Para-Participation in Athletics. These events not only promoted fitness but also fostered community spirit and among young athletes.

The Relay Around the World Challenge was a continued activation throughout May, culminating in a final event at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China. Participants can track global relay activities and shared their experiences via the official web app www.kidsatheltics2025.com
