There is a huge field of 17 in the Masters’ Throws Heptathlon. Having to throw the Shot, Discus, Javelin, Hammer and Weight, it will take forever to finish this event. Nearly all of the entries are from Australia and New Zealand, but from Samoa we have Shaka Sola (45-49 age group) and from Fiji – Albert Miller (65-69 age group). The oldest competitor is New Zealand’s Jim Blair who is in the 90-94 age group. During the day’s competition there will be a total of 255 throws.
