Ty’ree Langidrik will line up for the Marshall Islands at the World Athletics Championships, marking his second time representing his country at the World Athletics Championships.

A versatile athlete who once enjoyed playing a variety of sports, Langidrik began focusing seriously on track and field in 2023. He has proudly represented the Marshall Islands at the Pacific Mini Games, Micronesian Games, and the Team Micronesia at the Oceania Cup.

Currently, Langidrik is training in Fukuoka, Japan, alongside fellow Pacific Island athletes. This opportunity comes through ONOC’s partnership with the Fukuoka Prefectural Government, providing Pacific athletes with access to world-class training facilities, expert coaching, medical and sports science support, and assistance from the Oceania Sports Support Organization (OSSO).

For Langidrik, representing both the Marshall Islands and the Pacific is meaningful. “It means a lot, it’s a blessing,” he says. Langidrik has siezed the opportunity to use the new track and field facility built in the Marshall Islands for his preparations.
