Sixteen Oceania Coaches complete the Coaches Education and Certification System (CECS) Level II Lecturers Refresher Course

The Oceania Athletics Association partnered with World Athletics in late July to deliver the Coaches Education and Certification System (CECS) Level II Lecturers Refresher Course — connecting past and future lecturer coaches from across the region.

Sixteen (16) Coaches from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Norfolk Islands & Solomon Islands joined the virtual course to explore updates to the CECS LII content and delivery. With direct insights from those who helped shape the curriculum, participants discussed best practices to ensure alignment with World Athletics standards.

Energised and ready to support the next generation of athletes, 12 male & 4 female coaches participated in the one day course.

This initiative marks a key step forward in developing our coaching community. The CECS Level II is delivered by Area Associations and Member Federations with the support of World Athletics.
