Marshall Islands Majuro Day 2025

The Majuro Day Athletics event took place over two days and brought together students and community athletes from across the Marshall Islands for two days of exciting competition.

Day one focused on youth participation, with primary school students from kindergarten to fifth grade taking to the track for 60-meter sprints. Older students in the under 16 and under 18 age groups competed in 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay events, showcasing promising young talent and school spirit.

The second day shifted to the open category, featuring strong performances from athletes representing villages around Majuro. Events included 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 4x100m relay. Field events saw participants competing in discus and shot put.

Organisers reflected positively on the event, “Majuro Day Athletics went really well”
“There were also many lessons learned. These will help us prepare even better for the upcoming May Day Meets on May 1st.”
