Call for Technical Officials: Oceania Cup and Masters Cup 2025 – Nuku’alofa, Tonga

Oceania Athletics is seeking expressions of interest from Technical Officials to officiate at the Oceania Cup and Oceania Athletics Masters Cup, which will take place in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, from October 29 to November 1, 2025.

This event provides a unique opportunity for officials to contribute to the success of major athletics competition. Beyond professional growth, officiating offers a chance to build lasting connections, explore new cultures, and experience stunning destinations.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • All officials must have completed the World Athletics Safeguarding Essentials Course.
  • Active officiating at the Member Federation level and approval from the Member Federation are mandatory.

Key Information:

  • Expression of Interest Deadline: January 31, 2025
  • Officials must nominate through the OAA Officials’ Nomination System via the online link: https://forms.gle/eRFDyAfwFxWZZvdU8
  • Final notifications of appointment will be sent by February 2025, with additional details about roles and schedules provided closer to the event date.

Travel and Accommodation:

  • Technical Officials are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. OAA is coordinating accommodation options, with costs estimated between AUD150 and AUD200 per night.
  • Officials should NOT book non-refundable travel until they have confirmation of appointment.
