The 2025 Oceania Masters Cup – Champion Member Federation
The 2025 Oceania Masters Cup has officially concluded in beautiful Nuku’alofa, Tonga—and it’s time to reveal the Champion Member Federation!
Fourteen Member Federations competed across three days of events, creating a strong showcase of Masters athletics in the Pacific. Although the host nation Tonga did not win the trophy, their organisation, hospitality, and enthusiasm earned widespread praise from all delegations.
The event brought together a diverse group of athletes. Some returned to competition after many years, while others competed internationally for the first time. Many former national representatives took the opportunity to once again wear their country’s colours and reconnect with the sport.
Australia’s depth across all events secured them first place in the final standings. Tonga finished second, a significant result for the host federation, and New Zealand placed third.
The Oceania Masters’ Cup was a true celebration atheltics in the Pacific providing a platform for performance and connection.

The OAA Council and OAA Masters’ Athletes Commission are incredibly proud to have brought this celebration of Masters’ athletics to Tonga. While we know Darwin will deliver an amazing event in 2026, we’re already looking ahead with excitement to 2027, when we’ll return to one of our smaller Pacific Island Federations for the 6th edition of the Oceania Masters ‘Cup.
