Oceania Athletics is calling for Expressions of Interest to officiate at the following competitions: 

Oceania Invitational – 1 June 2024 – Suva, FIJ
Oceania Area Athletics Championships – 1 to 8 June 2023 – Suva, FIJ

The sport of Athletics would not survive without the dedication of our volunteer Technical Officials around the Pacific. The opportunity to officiate in another country doesn’t present itself often, and Oceania Athletics will once again be seeking a number of overseas technical officials to officiate during the Oceania Area Championships alongside our dedicated panel of Technical Officials from Fiji and the broader Oceania Family.

Fiji has an unspoiled, unique environment of extreme beauty and tranquillity making it a dream destination for all. Fiji has a reputation for hosting large athletics competitions, with their National Schools Championships regularly selling out the National Stadium, as well being host a number of International Athletics Competitions, including the first Oceania Area Championships in 1990.

Technical Officials will need to submit their expression of interest, as well background information for OAA to complete the appointments.

Expressions of Interest are due with the OAA office by 19 January 2024. 

Technical Officials will be notified by end of January 2024, if they have been successful in being appointed to the competitions. With final appointments and allocations to be made closer to the Competitions. Technical Officials will also be asked to nominate days they would be available closer to the time once travel has been booked. 

For all competitions, Technical Officials will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs and bookings, more details regarding this will be sent out with the initial appointments.
