World cross country
The world Cross country heads back to Africa for secondtime, this time heading to Kampla, Uganda. The championships will feature a new relay race, comprising a mixed gender (2 males and 2 females) each running one lap of the course (approximately 2km). This race will be interesting and fun to watch. For more click here
Sports people of the year Cook Islands
At the Cook Islands National Sports Awards on Sunday, Cook Island athlete Patricia Taea has won 2016 Sportswoman of the Year. Her results has been outstanding throughout the year from running personal best times to breaking records. Also Swimmer Wesley Roberts Attained the sportsman of the year award. PNG Records
Another PNG national record was broken last weekend as the track and field season got under way in the USA. Athlete Adrine Monagi developed on her national heptathlon record as she ran a PB 14.31 seconds in the 100m hurdles on her way to a score of 5221 for the seven event heptathlon. For more click here
Fiji Triple N Zone titles
