The Invictus Games came to Sydney for the first time over the past week. The organisers, were kind enough to invite Oceania Athletics to select 2 officials from the pacific to attend and officiate at the Championships.

Vuli Waqa (Fiji) and Phillip Kamane (Papua New Guinea), were chosen to attend. We would like to thank the Invictus Games and Athletics NSW for all of their help organising and accommodating Phillip and Vuli.

For Vuli, it wast his first time officiating in Sydney. He was a field judge at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. In his first trip back to the Olympic Park, he was able to reminisce, and even find his name, on the commemorative poles outside of the Olympic Stadium.
