NZ’s 2017 World University Games Team

New Zealand has released the intial list for what athletes they have cho770275p4976EDNmain373397Nats-D3-Field FB-43sen to compete at the 2017 World University games Track and Field Championships. in Taipei, Taiwan in August this year.
The current team captain has been selected as Craig Motley. The final selection will be declared by 19th of june

CECS L1 in Nauru

the 10th of May marked the end of the CcecsECS Level I course that was conducted from 31st March – 9th April on Nauru Island. The lecturer was Albert Miller from Fiji with Assistant Lecturer Lanja Fritz from Nauru. The course was a great success and 14 new Level I certified coaches are now on Nauru eager to promote and teach Athletics in the country.

 

 

PNG Athletes giving it their all

Peniel Richard and Rellie Kaputin of PNG both achieved very high performances in the long jump  in Texas, Jumping  7.57m and 6.41m. however both perfo36150884_1_Mrmances were considered to be wind assisted and thus not recognised as national records, however they were both well over the national record marks of 7.21m and 6.27m and should be proud of their efforts. 2017 World Masters Games

Coming up this weekend is the 2017 World Masters Games
The Opening Ceremony will begin this Friday marking the start of the 10 day world masters games, this competition will run for 10 days in Auckland. New Zealand have picked out three competing athletes who are all set to participate in the quadrennial multi-sport festival.
