With a new Personal Best Anna Grimaldi brings the first Gold Medal to New Zealand at the Paralympic Games in Rio last night. Anna took of to her last attempt placing 3rd overall when she reached the mark of 5.62m which brought her in the lead, just 3cm ahead of Yunidis Castillo from Cuba, who finished in 2nd place.
Anna was not the only representative winning medals for the Oceania area in the T47 Long Jump: Carlee Beattie from Australia finished on the Bronce rank, only 5cm behind Anna Grimaldi.
