Athletics Vanuatu with the support from the Vanuatu National Youth Council have gathered 30 young boys and girls at the Sanma Chiefs Nakamal to learn different officiating skills in athletics.
The workshop has been implemented in order to train new officials and volunteers, which will be required at the Vanuatu National Games. Also the Pacific Mini Games in December in Vanuatu will be a major event that will require the support and effort of a number of qualified and enthusiastic volunteers.
Volunteer work is the foundation of sport and without them most clubs, competitions and events are not possible. Athletics Vanuatu as well as most other sports federations heavily rely on committed and qualified volunteers.
